Cobra's Neo-Vipers would be this if they had the numbers (only 26 were made at the time of the movie, though there appear to be more). After the chase, they can't even properly catch up with two people on foot. They can't catch up with a vehicle that is weaving through heavy traffic. Artistic License Physics: The polar base is destroyed, and the ice cap above sinks into water. The editing team have actually digitally painted out the Eiffel Tower from that last shot, as the top of the tower is visible over the Musée - and in fact, there are a few frames where it does reappear for a brief moment after they pass a tree.
